Region 3: All hands on deck for LCBO workers!

LCBO workers are in a fight against Ford’s reckless privatization plan – one that affects each and every one of us. This isn’t just about wages, it’s about the future of work in our province and keeping public services public – and LCBO members need our help.

In the lead-up to bargaining, LCBO mobilizers have been working hard to organize their co-workers by recruiting leaders and getting them to sign a petition. They aim to deliver the petition once they reach 60% support from across the LCBO.

Everybody has been working flat-out to achieve this goal.

We delivered notice to bargain last week and expect to begin negotiations imminently. We are urgently in need of all hands on deck to boost the numbers so we can deliver a majority petition in early February.

We’re planning a series of events to help boost participation.

Region 3 in-person blitz

This Saturday (January 20), we’re having an in-person blitz where we will visit as many stores in Region 3 as possible with our petitions. Help get folks signed up and identify and recruit leaders to stay in touch with workers at the different stores that are not yet active.
